One of the things that asbestos disease takes away from patients is the enjoyment and appetite for food which can be worsened further by the side effects of some treatments. Meanwhile as a carer you may be facing the daily struggle of trying in vain to encourage your loved one to eat when you know that good nutrition is so important in the process of recovery.

DAST are excited to invite you to a FREE* ‘Live’ cooking and tasting morning with Robin Van Creveld aka highly acclaimed The Community Chef, who will take you though a fun, interactive session with tasting, tips and true inspiration!

You will be welcomed with tea and coffee in the beautiful Brunel Hall at the historic Whitworth, where there will be lots of opportunity for discussion and for socialising before and after the session with Robin, finishing with a delicious buffet lunch.

You may also want to take a stroll in the extensive Whitworth parkland after the event, which is fully accessible and nestled in the stunning Derwent Valley.

Robin Van Creveld has extensive experience of cooking with people with a broad range of serious health issues including cancer. As ‘The Community Chef’ Robin’s other current projects include Cooking For Carers, Man with a Pan (Widower’s cookery skills) and Cookery events in schools and community settings across the country.
