Volunteering

There are several ways in which you can volunteer for DAST:

- We travel throughout the East Midlands to provide advice to those affected by asbestos disease. It is very useful to have a volunteer driver to take staff to their visit location. If you enjoy driving, have your own car and are happy to sit in on the interviews, then we pay a good mileage rate and a lunch allowance.

– Organising fundraising events for your area, and acting as our representative at other people’s events

Taking part in our bereavement project as a befriender or as a member of the Friends and Relatives Forum

– Becoming a DAST ambassador – speaking at our events and to the press

To find out more about becoming a volunteer with DAST, download our fact-sheet Volunteer Leaflet. Or to discuss becoming part of the DAST team contact DAST Co-ordinator Jerry  Hague on Coordinator@dast.org.uk
